This morning 2000 Durban school children, along with Greenpeace volunteers and members of TckTckTck and CAN, came together to create a massive lion-shaped human banner on Durban’s beachfront.
The banner was a message to world leaders, an inspiring call for courageous climate action needed to safeguard the future for African youths and other children from across the world.
The 2000 students were from a number of local schools (Addington Primary, Hartley Primary, Wembley Primary, Vumukhule Primary, Embonini Primary, Tholisu Primary, Sawela Primary) who were very excited to be playing a part in the international negotiations.
The photo was another incredible piece of aerial artwork by renowned international artsist, John Quigley.
