Moving the Planet, Pretoria

On Heritage day, 24 September, Greenpeace volunteers joined forces with 350.org to take part in the global day of action, 'Moving the Planet'.

The march was to raise awareness about the need to move away from climate changing fossil fuels towards renewable energies. It was also an opportunity to highlight the many opportunites that climate change presents us with and the solutions that are ready and waiting to be implemented. Investing in renewables could create almost 150 000 new direct jobs by 2030, fire-up new industries, create more energy security, and a brighter, greener future.

Similar events took place across the globe with 2000 gatherings in more than 175 countires. Check out Moving Planet for more info.
