The sun has been around for more than 4.5 billion years and its mass is around 330,000 times that of Earth. It is three quarters hydrogen which is being converted into helium.
The sun will be burning for a very long time to come. It will take nearly the next 5 billion years for it to burn out. Until then the sun is the earth’s remarkable solution to produce clean and reliable energy.
Solar Energy is basically energy from the sun. It is a renewable source of energy unlike limited energy sources such as fossil fuels which are rapidly plummeting the earth into serious environmental crisis.
This week the Solar lovers made the sun the center of it all, a big giant ball of every answer to mankind suspended in the air 149.6 million km away from the earth at man’s disposal. Think of how many wonders of the world it surpasses and mostly imagine the magnificent contribution it has made to life as it is known. The sun is the greatest energy source yet known to man.
Of course man’s use of non-renewable sources has sustained mankind up to now but with far too many hazardous implications. The saying goes, “All good things come to an end”, but, on the contrary, with solar, all good things get better and how much better can unlimited get?
Active solar energy is the gateway to South Africa’s sustainability. The Solar lovers were out to send this message and remind the public what the sun looks like. All smiles on people’s faces to see the sun, the energy in the parking lot was incredible, people love the sun! We need supermarkets to show the same level of engagement and show solar some love by committing to 100% renewable energy.
Come on South Africa there is just no other way!
