Adolf says the land has belonged to Babensi 2 for generations and that they were no boundary disputes prior to the arrival of Herakles. Furthermore by trekking through the bush behind the village, it is easy to see paint daubed on the trees, demarcation done by Herakles without permission.“How can they do this without our permission,” says Adolf. “We stand to lose more than forest. “Our streams are getting dry, the animals in the area are getting killed, they’re isn’t even any bushmeat.”
