Say no to nuclear power in South Africa

South Africa has some of the world's best renewable energy potential, but our government is still planning to introduce 9600MW of nuclear energy in the next 20 years.

The reality is that nuclear energy is too expensive and far too dangerous.

The South African government's nuclear build programme is a threat to our democratic, political, social and economic rights.

On Saturday 10 November, we'll be marching in Johannesburg with other organisations, for a nuclear-free future in South Africa. If you can make it, join the march.

  • stop its nuclear plans which threaten present and future generations
  • provide public scrutiny of the proposed costs of the nuclear programme
  • open the debate on nuclear expansion to all South Africans
