Supporter Retention Assistant

Johannesburg, South Africa

Job - May 16, 2017
Greenpeace Africa is an environmental campaigning organization with offices in Southern, West and Central Africa. The organization is currently seeking for a Supporter Retention Assistant. From a tiny beginning in Canada in 1971 Greenpeace has grown to be the world’s largest independent environmental organisation with a presence in over 40 countries and over 3 million financial supporters worldwide.

The Greenpeace story proves that individuals can win, even against enormous odds, when they really believe in what they’re doing.

Financial independence
Greenpeace does not accept any corporate or governmental funding. This is crucial to our campaigns and upholding our integrity. If we accepted donations from corporations, we could be accused of favouring those corporations. Remaining financially independent means not having to answer to anyone else’s agenda.

The Importance of Fundraising
Greenpeace is continuously up against powerful organisations and governments who are intrigued by our track record of producing campaign results with limited resources. Our secret is huge commitment, passion & drive from everybody in the organisation. You will play a very important role for Greenpeace as a Supporter Retention Assistant, ensuring that we have accurate data that will allow us to place all of our supporters on an effective and engaging supporter journey.
