No Arctic oil

Despite our best efforts, and the support of over 5 million people like you around the world, we've been unable to stop arctic drilling. The first shipment of oil from the Arctic's icy waters made it's way to Rotterdam, and I was heartbroken.

But I'm happy to report that because 80 Greenpeace activists confronted the Russian tanker carrying this dirty cargo, this shipment of the world's first Arctic oil did not go unnoticed and one of the biggest environmental crimes happening today was exposed for the world to see. Challenging oil companies like this is only made possible by the support of people like you.

We can't afford to fail again. Join us as we step up our fight-back to protect the Arctic and stop the deadly oil race. We’ve put together a 20-week plan to turn people power into real-world results. Can you chip in now?

Here’s what we plan for the next 20 weeks, if we raise the money we need:

  • kick off an action plan to bring world leaders together to protect the Arctic: first step, recruit thousands of us to build a network of influential people who can push the issue onto the global political agenda.
  • launch a major (& rather fun) campaign against a very famous company with surprising Arctic ties.
  • set sail on an ocean-going mission to the far north: got to keep exact plans hush hush for now...
  • execute daring high-profile actions to capture the attention of the media so people hear the news - we’re in a red alert moment and need to stop Arctic drilling NOW.

Right now, there’s only one thing standing between one of the most fragile ecosystems on the planet and the oil companies trying to ravage it: you.

But you are not alone. You’re part of a plucky, creative, and above all courageous movement made up of millions of people in all corners of the globe. And together, we are stronger than we ever imagined.
