Love cycling? Love green energy?

We need your help!

On May 26th, break out your bicycles and rally together with Greenpeace volunteers, concerned citizens, cycling enthusiasts and others who want a green energy future for Ontario.

This 45km Ride for Renewables from Pickering nuclear station to Darlington nuclear station couldn’t come at a more urgent time.

Our government has told Ontario Power Generation (OPG) to build new nuclear reactors at Darlington nuclear station instead of investing in renewable energy and conservation.  It’s also looking to rebuild the aging reactors at Darlington. That’s wrong.

We’re riding from Pickering to Darlington for a renewable future.

A safe, clean, affordable and innovate green energy future is ready to flourish in Ontario; it just needs a little room to grow.

So please join us. On May 26th we’ll gather in front of the Pickering nuclear station at about 10:30 am and ride the waterfront trail to Darlington.

This is being organized by a team of Greenpeace volunteers.  We’re organizing travel from downtown Toronto, lunch and rides back to Toronto, but we need you to RSVPBut if you want to participate we need you to RSVP here.  I hope to see you on May 26th!

Together, we can remove the stranglehold that nuclear industry has on Ontario’s energy system.

We can demand that our government stop sinking billions of tax dollars into risky nuclear projects and instead, invest a portion of that money into renewable energy projects.

It’s going to be a great ride. We hope you will join us!
