Siberian Oil Spill

Greenpeace bear witness to oil spills at the Mamontovskoe and Yuzhno-Balyksky oil fields, owned by Rosneft in the Khanty-Mansiysk district, Siberia.

Rosneft’s operations have turned thousands of hectares of forest into environmental disaster zones just in a matter of years. Rosneft has received at least 23 license blocks from the Russian government for oil exploration and production on the Arctic shelf.
