June 5, 2018 (OTTAWA) - On Thursday July 7, one day before G7 leaders meet in Charlevoix, Quebec, Greenpeace staff and volunteers will deliver a message on tackling plastic pollution outside of the Prime Minister’s office in Ottawa.
June 5, 2018 (OTTAWA) - On Thursday July 7, one day before G7 leaders meet in Charlevoix, Quebec, Greenpeace staff and volunteers will deliver a message on tackling plastic pollution outside of the Prime Minister’s office in Ottawa.
Canada announced in March that it will use its G7 presidency to create a plastics charter and persuade its allies to adopt ambitious goals for plastics waste reduction and addressing marine litter. Environment Minister Catherine McKenna announced this charter could be billed as a Paris-type agreement to counter ocean plastic pollution.
