In the backdrop of rising power crisis in Andhra Pradesh, Greenpeace along with Bapuji Rural Enlightenment Development Society (BREDS) launched the first social audit of Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY) in the state.
The aim of the audit is to bring out the implementation reality of the scheme and examine whether the mandate of the scheme has been fulfilled or not. The audit will be conducted in eights villages of Pathapatnam and Saravakota blocks of Srikakulam district between 2nd April and 13th May. The audit will conclude with a public hearing in the district.
