Greenpeace and Bharatiya Kisan Farmers Union unfurl a giant banner in a rice field 25 km from Lucknow, sending out a clear message to the authorities from Mahura kalan, against any genetically engineered rice field trials in the region. The Genetic Engineering approval committee of India has recently approved a field trial in the Lucknow district among 12 other chosen locations in the country.
