Asami, Japan, 20 years old: “In my design I included a kiss because kissing is primary communication of love which doesn't need any words. I also included rays because sunshine always gives us hope. As a young Japanese person living in an island country, I feel for low-lying island countries that are already suffering from the effects of rising sea levels and do not want to see large companies sacrificing our future for hedonistic financial benefits.”
