Fukushima 5 years on

On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the nuclear accident in Fukushima, Greenpeace starts an underwater research tour monitoring the radiation impacts on the underwater life. Greenpeace nuclear experts work with a ROV (remotely operated vehicle), an under water camera and special testing equipment.

Greenpeace ship Rainbow Warrior sailing past the destroyed Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, five years after the accident. Greenpeace has launched an underwater investigation into the marine impacts of radioactive contamination resulting from the 2011 nuclear disaster on the Pacific Ocean.
