Global Day of Action 2015

Ahead of the G7 summit in Elmau, Germany, thousands of people in over 30 countries and over 100 cities peacefully protested over the weekend to kick off a first Global Day of Action.

Using the Pacman arcade game as a metaphor for the coal industry, eating away at our health, environment and money. Greenpeace joins Climat21, Climate Action Network, Avaaz, and Friends of the Earth to demand an end to forest destruction and nuclear & fossil fuel energy. The #GetUpAnd Global Day of Action calls on people around the world to give political and corporate leaders a 'serious wake-up call' so that they tackle the causes of climate change and champion a transition to renewable energy by 2050. 05/30/2015
