Shell Protest At The Belgian Grand Prix

Greenpeace activists unfurl banners at the Shell Belgian Grand Prix, in protest of the company's plans to drill in the pristine Arctic environment. Shell is the main sponsor of the Belgian Grand Prix, the company has invested $5bn in its Arctic drilling programme but after a series of embarrassing mishaps, was forced to abandon its plans to drill for oil off the coast of Alaska this summer. Greenpeace is campaigning for a ban on offshore drilling in the Arctic, and for the uninhabited area around the North Pole to be declared a global sanctuary
