A lone house is left standing at an abandoned village after a nearby mining concession degrades the surrounding environment. Coal mining also contributes to the irreversible destruction of the community's land, water and air resources and endangers health, safety and the livelihoods of communities that lives on the fringes of mines. 11/23/2012
