Sink-holes at the Hulun Buir grassland in Inner Mongolia, China. There are currently as many as 139 wells pumping water from the Hulun Buir grassland with an estimated daily displacement of 26 tons. This ranks Hulun Buir as the second most severe rate of water depletion caused by coal mining in China. 06/25/2012
