The Rainbow Warrior is at the scene of a serious pirate fishing operation taking place on the high seas of the Pacific Ocean.

New Zealand must support efforts by other Pacific countries to stop the plunder of tuna by foreign fishing boats if the region is to avoid a similar collapse to that of the northern tuna fisheries, says Greenpeace.

The world’s industrial fishing fleets will continue to plunder vital tuna resources from the Pacific following the rejection of a rescue package to halt the decline of tuna stocks, says Greenpeace.
