One of New Zealand's senior negotiators Helen Plume has reported back on behalf of the negotiators (it seems she got the short straw and chaired the attempt to get consensus) to report there was no consensus. So that means both the AOSIS 1.5 degree workshop and New Zealand's agriculture programme have gone back to square one. AOSIS have bitterly pointed out that Saudi Arabia have ended up opposing even their own proposals in order to block the 1.5 degree workshop and urged countries to act in good faith in future. We'll see the fall-out tomorrow no doubt. It's late. I'm hungry. And I need sleep. So I'm signing off for the night.
