Greenpeace “Defending Our Pacific” expeditions by MV Esperanza have exposed the over-fishing crisis, and defended international waters between Pacific Island countries from foreign fleets intent on taking the world's last tuna stocks. We urgently need to cut fishing levels by 50% across the region; close four areas of Pacific international waters to fishing and declare them marine reserves.
