The Government is currently asking for public submissions on the types of activities that should be permitted within our coastal waters, and the regulations needed for those that are. These activities would include deep sea oil drilling and seabed mining. Tell the Government that no amount of legislation or regulation can keep us safe from the risk of a massive oil spill.Greenpeace - and over 150,000 people who signed our petition so far - believe that there should be no deep sea oil drilling in New Zealand’s coastal waters due the risk of catastrophic oil spills and all such activities should be prohibited. If you agree, use the form below to make a submission telling the Government that no amount of legislation or regulation can keep us safe from the risk of a massive oil spill.
