Ann is the principal of ADW Communications, a Sydney-based fundraising and public relations company. She works with non-profit organisations to develop their profile and their fundraising strategies.
She also works with appropriate corporate clients advising on all
aspects of media liaison, crisis communications, public relations and
governance issues. Past and present clients include the Australian
Kidney Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis Australia, the Uniting Church, Bell
Shakespeare Company, Murray Robson Wines, Georg Jensen and Royal
Copenhagen.
Ann
is chair of the board of Greenpeace Australia Pacific and has served on
the boards of both Greenpeace Australia and Greenpeace New Zealand at
various times since 1985.
As trustee, she is a member of
Greenpeace International Council and represents Greenpeace Asia Pacific
at international meetings.
Until stepping down in May 2003, she
was chair of Greenpeace International Board Search Committee for nine
years and was responsible for worldwide recruitment of board members.
During
her chairmanship, Greenpeace Australia has expanded to become
Greenpeace Australia Pacific and terms of reference developed by its
finance committee have been adopted by the international board.
Ann's
current mandate is to develop relationships between Greenpeace
Australia Pacific and other Greenpeace offices in the region and to
maintain a close working relationship with the international
organisation through contacts on the international board and European
offices.
She recently contributed to and undertook the final
edit of the Greenpeace board guide which will be used by 27 Greenpeace
offices.
