Brian Brunton is a lawyer working in Papua New Guinea (PNG).

From 1996 to 2002, Brian worked as a forest specialist on the Greenpeace Australia Pacific campaign to save the Paradise Forests.

From 1993 to 1995, Brian was director of the Individual and Community Rights Advocacy Forum Inc in PNG. He has also been a judge of the National Court of PNG and Chair of the Law Reform Commission of PNG.

Brian was chairman of the commission of inquiry into the April 2006 unrest in Honiara and is currently a consultant lawyer to the Environment Law Centre, PNG, and the Centre for Environmental Law & Community Rights, PNG.
