When Deb joined Greenpeace as a volunteer over 12 years ago, little did
she know that many years later she'd be the longest serving staff
member in the Sydney office.
Deb has found her niche in Human Resources (HR) after working in various administrative roles across the organisation.
Her official job description includes coordinating payroll, recruitment, training and development, OH&S and other 'people' related issues.
Deb says that the best thing about her job is working with an amazing bunch of dedicated people who are committed to doing their bit to bring about a better world.
Being involved in such a dynamic organisation for so long, Deb has understandably had some unusual moments away from her desk.
Deb has abseiled off the office’s fire escape as part of her climb training, and was once arrested during a protest about climate change.
Deb is the proud mum of three grown children.
