Keen, committed voluntary staff have always played a vital role in Greenpeace.

As a volunteer you'll have the opportunity to join a local or fundraising community group, be involved in campaign actions or perhaps help out in one of the Greenpeace offices.

If you have particular skills and/or interests we can discuss how to incorporate these into your voluntary work. We sometimes use volunteers to assist in research, local actions, fundraising, information technology or as tradespeople. Ways you can volunteer:

Get active, join a Greenpeace local group
Greenpeace local groups help Greenpeace's global and national environmental campaigns through public outreach, letter-writing, lobbying, research and participation in non-violent direct actions. Local groups meet regularly to share campaign updates, plan activities and participate in training.

Organise community fundraising events
Volunteers are the foundation of Greenpeace and holding your own fundraiser is a great way to be part of our team. Fundraising events are an easy and fun way to help achieve a green and peaceful future and there are loads of events you can hold. A few examples are quiz or movie nights, harbour cruises or bush walks.
