Solar panels provide clean energy for remote Coniston Station, 200 kilometres north west of Alice Springs, Northern Territory. The system provides at least 60 per cent of the station's electricity needs in summer and 75 per cent in winter. It saves 27 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions and 10,000 litres of fuel every year.
