Salary: $79,548.25 per annum + Superannuation

Overall purpose of the job

The IT Officer will be working within the IT Services team. The main responsibility of this role will be to provide an effective, efficient and friendly desktop support service, such that it provides a platform that makes it easier for Greenpeace Australia Pacific personnel to achieve their own goals.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide desktop support
  • Supervise and train IT volunteers to achieve the IT objectives
  • Assist the IT Manager with the development of future IT strategies, policies and procedures
  • As cover to the IT Manager, be able to assume the duties of Systems Administrator
  • Be able to travel overseas when required
  • Carry out other tasks as directed.

What your skills and experience would look like:

  • Tertiary IT qualifications or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience in a Network Administration role on similar systems and technologies
  • Experience in a variety of operating systems, but primarily Windows, Linux and Mac OS
  • Experience with IT hardware and a broad range of network technologies and protocols Experience with the administration of Cloud based virtualisation and storage technologies.
