'Arctic Rising' at Rio+20 Summit

Greenpeace launches "Save the Arctic Campaign" in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, during the Rio+20 Summit, using a balloon in the shape of a polar bear with the famous statue of Christ the Redeemer in the background. The activity is part of the 'Arctic Rising' actions which follow the rising sun across the globe on the longest day, June 21st. Greenpeace is campaigning for a global sanctuary around the north pole, and a ban on oil drilling and unsustainable fishing in the wider Arctic. 06/21/2012
