'Coal Monsters' Takeover Department of Energy, Philippines

Greenpeace activists dressed as ëcoal monstersí stage a takeover at the Department of Energy in Taguig City. The activists rename the agency the "Department of Coal Energy" and rename Jose Rene D. Almendras (Philippine Secretary of Energy) as "Sec. Rene COALmendras." The organization demands Sec. Almendras reverses his decision to construct 11 coal-fired power plants and instead implement the Renewable Energy law in order to provide a safe, secure and independent energy future for the country. 06/25/2012
