Airship Flies over Welzow-South

The Greenpeace airship A.E. Bates flies over the open pit mining area of Welzow-South I in Brandenburg. The banner on one side of the airship reads: "Destruction Made by Sweden!"; a second banner on the other side reads in German "Coal - SPD harms people and nature". Greenpeace is opposing the plans supported by Social Democratic Party (SPD) of Vattenfall (a Swedish Electric utility company) to open five new brown coal open mines.09/16/2012
