Hunger Strike against Nuclear Power Plant

People participate in an indefinite fast, which enters its sixth day today in Idinthakarai Village, 2kms from the Koodankulam Nuclear Power plant. They demand the closing down of the Koodankulam Nuclear Power plants, 720kms from Chennai. People from surrounding villages like Koodankulam, Idinthakarai and other neighboring villages decide to withdraw from the ongoing peace process and resume their peaceful, nonviolent Gandhian Satyagraha by holding a massive hunger strike starting on 11 September 2011. 09/16/2011
