Chinese photojournalist Lu Guang stands in front of his winning story on the 'Dalian Oil Spill' at the World Press Photo Exhibition, Oude Kerk, Amsterdam. Lu Guang was commissioned by Greenpeace in July 2010 to cover the Dalian oil spill, China. During his assignment Lu Guang photographed the death of firefighter Zhang Liang attempting to fix an underwater pump during oil spill cleanup operations. The set of photographs resulted in a 3rd prize award in the Spot news category from the World Press Photo 2011. 05/04/2011
