Wouldn't you love to ask your local election candidates about their plans for tackling climate change?
The New South Wales state election, on March 24, is your opportunity to demand action. Climate action groups are organising forums, giving you the chance to put questions to your local candidates or Greenpeace climate campaigners. So get serious about climate change: Come along, get informed and get heard.
Forums will be held in these electorates:
Electorate: Sydney inner west (Balmain) climate change forum
Speakers at this public forum include Greenpeace energy campaigners, Ben Pearson and Mark Wakeham. We will discuss climate change, how we make the shift from coal to renewable energy, why we need to stop projects like the proposed Anvil Hill coal mine, and how you can use your power as a voter in March's election to help stop dangerous climate change.
