About the exhibition

Greenpeace is working hard to save Papua New Guinea’s and the Solomon Islands’ ancient Paradise Forests from illegal and destructive logging. For over 10 years we have been working with local landowners to provide eco-forestry options that provide sustainable and real economic alternatives to destructive logging.

To mark the success of this project, in February 2008 we will welcome the first ecotimber export from our Lake Murray ecoforestry project in PNG's Western Province to Australia.

This is a fantastic achievement for our campaign and to celebrate we are holding a stunning photographic exhibition in Sydney, which documents our ecoforestry project work in Lake Murray.

Learn how the people of Lake Murray dealt with destructive and illegal logging in their area. Plus the solutions they put in place once the logging stopped.

Our PNG and Solomon Islands forests campaigners and activists will also be at the exhibition to provide more information.

So please come along and bring some friends.
