Walk Against Warming 2008

Melbourne, November 2007: Over 50,000 people took to the streets of
Melbourne to participate in the Walk Against Warming, with 150,000
people taking part in Walk Against Warming events across the country.
The Walk Against Warming sent a clear message to all political parties
that not enough has been done to tackle climate change and that
delaying further action until the next election will be too late to
prevent its dangerous impacts.

In 2007, over 150,000 people participated in Walk Against Warming events across the country just before the federal election. December 2008 sees big decisions nationally and globally. (c) Greenpeace/Ascui

Walk the walk for renewable energy and a safe climate future for our children. Join thousands of families, workplaces and communities across Australia in this year's Walk Against Warming on 15 November.

This year's walk comes at a critical point, with governments around the world deciding how they will respond to the climate crisis ahead of the Poznan UN Climate Change Conference in December.

The community's voice has never been more important for demanding strong, urgent action from our government. Be part of their decision by walking the walk at this year's Walk against Warming.
