Sydney, Australia —
Art for Action, the annual Greenpeace art fundraiser event presents ‘Changing Nature 06’, an art exhibition opening next Monday, 13 November at The Gallery at Darling Park in Sydney.
In keeping with the Changing Nature theme, artists were asked to
explore the profound changes being imposed on natural places by climate
change. Over 60 artists from around Australia have contributed high
quality artworks to Art for Action using various media and materials,
including photography, painting, sculpture and recycled materials.
Greenpeace events coordinator Rob Nicoll said, “We wanted to engage
with Australia’s art community to help deliver the urgent message about
the threat of climate change in a creative way. It’s a great way to
convey a very important environmental message.
“We are very grateful to the artists for donating such high quality
artworks, the sale of which will help fund Greenpeace’s vital campaigns
work,” he said.
Contributing artists include Anne-France Fulgence, Mary Shackman, Mark
Schaller, Carlos Barrios, Guy Troughton, Constantine Nicholas, Patrick
Shirvington, Sandro Nocentini, Alison Coulthurst and James Powditch.
Mark Schaller was a founding member of the renowned Roar studios and is
known for his painting, sculpture and print-making. Career highlights
include successful solo exhibitions in Australia and overseas, as well

impressive career has spanned four decades. She has worked with fashion
