Winged victory!

Australian shoppers have something big to crow about. Thanks to their efforts and a concerted Greenpeace campaign, Australia’s top three poultry companies have agreed to stop giving their birds genetically engineered (GE) feed.

Community voice for a peaceful future

Mayors from around the world are joining Mayors for Peace to protect their communities from the threat of global conflict. Twelve Australians have so far joined the group, which was started by the mayor of Hiroshima. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
