Australia faces more natural catastrophes (droughts, bush fires, heat waves, floods and storms) and the loss of many ecologically rich areas such as the Great Barrier Reef unless urgent action is taken to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, according to recent findings from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
