Commercial Whaling Ban Strengthened at haling meeting

At this year’s International Whaling Commission (IWC) meeting anti-whaling nations achieved a 37-4 vote for a resolution strengthening the commercial whaling ban. However, Japan still plans to hunt over 1,000 whales in the Southern Ocean this year – including 50 threatened humpbacks.
