Reprocessing Australia’s high-level nuclear waste

Successive Australian governments have dealt with the political and environmental problems of high level nuclear fuel waste, arising from their past, present and proposed reactor operations at the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation, via the option of transporting spent fuel overseas for reprocessing.
