he Australian Government’s expansion of its nuclear program is increasing the number of waste nuclear fuel shipments from Australia to Europe under new reprocessing contracts. The Australian Government supports Japan, France and Britain transporting plutonium MOX fuel from Europe to Japan to facilitate their plans to build a new nuclear reactor at Lucas Heights, Sydney and to ship more uranium abroad.
