23 October 2007: Greenpeace 'comoonicators' take action against Devondale dairy products, which may contain genetically engineered (GE) contamination.
Dressed in cow suits, activists enter the Melbourne headquarters of Murray Goulburn (which makes Devondale). They refuse to leave without meeting managing director, Stephen O’Rourke.
Other cows unfurl banners outside, reading ‘Feed me GE free’ and ‘Devondale – Say No to GE Milk’. Three cows were arrested and later released.
