In Papua New Guinea, on 3 September 2008, Greenpeace activists stopped a logging ship from loading timber bound for China. Their peaceful action highlights the serious contribution deforestation makes to climate change.

For 55 hours they remained on the loading crane of the logging cargo ship, the Harbour-Gemini, on the Aiai River at Paia.
