Action: Purse seiner in the Western Pacific Ocean

During April 2008, activists on board the Esperanza gather evidence of illegal and excessive tuna fishing practices. Watch video of activists confiscating a fish aggregation device. Fishing fleets use these to lure schools of tuna to catch in huge nets. We deploy a banner reading ‘Marine Reserves Now’ near Korean purse seine vessel, Olympus, while asking it to leave the area.
