In the Pacific, Greenpeace takes action for marine reserves to save tuna populations.
During April 2008, activists on board the Esperanza gather evidence of illegal and excessive tuna
fishing practices. Watch video of activists confiscating a fish aggregation device. Fishing fleets use these to lure schools of tuna
to catch in huge nets. We deploy a banner reading ‘Marine Reserves Now’ near Korean purse seine
vessel, Olympus, while asking it to leave the area.
