With the 2000 Olympics, we showed the world that clean, green solutions are ready and available. We raised the bar on the International Olympic Committee, presenting a tough new set of Environmental Guidelines to be used for future Olympic Games.

Achievements of the Sydney Olympics included the Athlete's Village (at the time, the world's largest solar village), reduction of PVC in building materials, an almost carless Games and an impressive water recycling system. Multinational drinks company, Coca-Cola, agreed to phase out its use of greenhouse-polluting HFCs in refrigeration. Following from this, in 2004, Coca-Cola, Unilever and McDonald’s announced the phase-out of HFCs in their refrigeration worldwide.
