Greenpeace local groups are our volunteer teams on the ground. These dedicated activists work around Australia, winning campaigns and forcing environmental solutions.

Local groups use many tools to create positive change, from consumer activism, to letter-writing, lobbying, research and non-violent direct actions. They meet regularly to share campaign updates, plan activities and take Greenpeace activist training. To join a local group, you must be over 18 and able to attend regular meetings in one of the city locations listed below. Local group locations:
  • Adelaide
  • Melbourne
  • Perth
  • Sydney
  • Suva
