Once you have identified how to change or solve an issue, it's time to map out how you will achieve your objectives.
Once you have established your campaign goals and objectives, you can devise a campaign strategy.
A campaign strategy may be made up of lots of different campaign activities. The planning steps outlined below are designed to help you choose effective campaign activities.
For each campaign, you’ll need to establish:
what change is needed to achieve your objectives
who has the power to make those changes
how you can inspire or force those in power to make the change
There is a boundless range of strategies that people have successfully used to win campaigns. A campaign strategy may include a public protest, a leaflet, a piece of research, a media interview, a sponsored walk, a meeting with a politician or non-violent direct action. Usually a combination of all the above is used to great effect.
Consider what strategies others have used to win a campaign. Will it work for your campaign? Think of ways to persuade your particular audiences to take action and use your imagination!
