In April, 2007, our Take a Punt on Peter campaign invited people to bet on how often federal Treasurer Peter Costello would say "climate change" in his 2007 Budget night speech. He had not mentioned it in any of his 11 previous Budgets.

So how many times did Costello say "climate change" in his Budget speech? Drum roll, please. Five times to be exact plus a couple of ‘global warming’s for good measure!
The government couldn't ignore climate change in this year's Budget. That's a good thing but have they done enough to stave off Australia's greatest threat? Not even close.
