Our land, water, climate and very survival is threatened by the Canadian Federal governments weakening of environmental laws, support of Big Oil and infringements on our democratic rights and freedoms.  There has never been a more crucial time for civil disobedience, to defend the earth and democracy.

Many of you joined Greenpeace and our partners in the Black Out, Speak Out campaign to raise the alarm around Bill C-38.  Now we need you to join a long tradition of activists who have used non-violent civil disobedience to create meaningful social change and to stand up to injustice.   The time to ACT for our fragile earth is now.

The Greenpeace ‘Earth Defender’ training is a skill-building opportunity designed to help mobilize community leaders to step up, speak out and lead events, activities and non-violent direct action against environmental and social injustices within our local communities, and beyond.

In 2012, these trainings are happening in three provinces.

We invite you to join us this year!  Please help us spread the word and invite others to attend!

These trainings take place over a full-weekend, and include lodging and food.  They are offered for free, yet we encourage a suggested donation of $50 if possible to help supplement costs, but nobody will be turned away for lack of funds. Space is limited, so get in touch early for more information!
